Catit Flower Water Fountain

When I was inquiring about getting a ragdoll, all of the breeders stated that their cats require a water fountain.  Looking into different water fountain options, I found that there really weren’t that many available on the market considering how many people have pets in their homes.  I suppose most people go the old fashioned route when it comes to hydration.  Well anyway, most water fountains can be quite an eye sore and I wanted a statement making piece if it was going to be out in the open.  Water fountains are also very pricey at the traditional local pet stores.  So I went on Amazon and found the Catit Flower Water Fountain ($29.99 USD) for a very reasonable price, and on top of that, it is adorable.  The fountain is very easy to put together, and I love that it has different flow options to suite your cats needs.  I personally find that Wizzy and Oliver like it with a higher level of flow/ stream, which the yellow center part allows.

I’ve heard horror stories about fountains either being too loud or the water getting everywhere.  The only time that the Catit makes noise is when the water is too low.  Other than that, I’ve had absolutely zero problems besides the fact I can not find the filters at my local Petco.  I’ve been to other Petco’s that have carried the filters for it, but the one by my house just hasn’t caught on yet.  It’s okay though; they are relatively cheap to buy off of either Amazon or Chewy, and come in a two-pack.  Each filter lasts about a month, but I personally feel like you could get by using it for 4-6 weeks as long as you clean the filter by running water through it.  It is important to take apart the fountain at least once a week to thoroughly clean the parts with a sponge and liquid detergent.

The Catit Flower Fountain has really been helpful in getting the cats to drink water.  I think they find the constant flow of water very amusing, and it’s absolutely the cutest watching them drink out of it.  What can I say, I’m a sucker for cat products with flair.

*I was not paid or given a free sample of the Catit Flower Fountain.  I purchased it on my own and my thoughts on the fountain are my own.*
